SKILLED PERSONNEL PLAYS A CRITICAL ROLE
All employees working at Kupariteollisuuspuisto are properly trained in manufacturing processes and using the equipment. The supervision of manufacturing processes as well as preventive and corrective maintenance of equipment is efficient and effective. Also, the expertise of external contractors working in the area on hazard prevention and other safety and environmental issues is ensured through various trainings.
WE ARE PREPARED FOR DANGEROUS SITUATIONS
The possibility of accidents can never be eliminated completely, which is why we are prepared for emergencies and incidents at Kupariteollisuuspuisto. Satakunta’s Emergency Rescue Service has prepared an external rescue plan, and Kupariteollisuuspuisto’s companies have prepared an internal rescue plan for emergencies that may occur during the manufacturing of chemicals, storage or transportation. The plans include operating guidelines for protecting people and the environment.
Kupariteollisuuspuisto organises regular emergency response training and drills in collaboration with various authorities. Kupariteollisuuspuisto’s industrial fire department and Satakunta’s Emergency Rescue Service are responsible for the area’s rescue operations.
WE IDENTIFY RISKS
The operations of Kupariteollisuuspuisto companies are constantly assessed in order to identify potential health, safety and environmental risks. The operations of companies handling and storing hazardous chemicals are regulated by legislation on hazardous substances. The Finnish Safety and Chemicals Agency (Tukes) acts as the supervisory authority. The date and contents of the latest periodic inspection at the production facilities and the inspection program can be obtained from Tukes.
Kupariteollisuuspuisto is an alcohol and drug free area
The possession and use of alcohol and other drugs in the Kupariteollisuuspuisto area are strictly prohibited.
Zero tolerance
The security personnel operating in the area conduct regular alcohol screenings in the immediate vicinity of the entrances. Taking a breathalyser test is not mandatory, however, it is a prerequisite for accessing the area.
